The Latest Treatment everyone is talking about! Profhilo…. Now available at KAILO.
We asked Nurse Leiha all about it, and this is what she had to say.
So what is Profhilo?
Profhilo is an injectable treatment that can be used on the face or neck (and other body parts like hands) to improve skin quality and help to create a rejuvenated look.
What is it made of?
The treatment uses hyaluronic acid which naturally boosts collagen within the body, giving greater texture and brightness to dull, dry or ageing skin, and reducing crepey, sagging areas.
Is it like filler?
Profhilo is different to fillers. while the two treatments are similar in the sense that both involve injecting hyaluronic acid into the target area, Profhilo doesn’t give the volume that fillers provide, and it doesn’t change the structure of your face. It is simply about rehydrating the skin and making it appear more radiant.
What does Profhilo do for our face and neck?
During a Profhilo treatment hyaluronic acid is injected into several different Profhilo injection points within the target area (five times on each side of the face, or five times on each side of the neck). Profhilo works by delving down below the surface of the skin, where it spreads and takes hold of the moisture from within. The substance then actually conditions the skin from the inside out! Profhilo also boosts collagen and elastin production, which leads to a softer skin and more even skin tone.
Who is it best suited to?
Profhilo is great for mature and tired skin that lacks lustre or appears a little dull. But it is really suitable for anyone who wants their skin to appear brighter and plumper. It is also great for people who want quick results with minimal downtime.
How often should we have it for best results?
We recommend having a second round of Profhilo a month after the first. You should then start to see the full results after about 2 months. To prolong your Profhilo results, the treatment can be performed every 6 months.
Why do you love it?
The great thing is that there is no downtime after Profhilo, and it is super quick - so it’s easy to do in your lunch hour! There is a little redness and lumpiness initially in the treated areas but this subsides within 24 hours and most people wouldn’t notice anything different. I really love the results we are seeing for our clients.
How much does it cost?
2 rounds of Profhilo, 4 weeks apart = $1,799 total
