Cosmetic Injectables

Muscle Relaxants / Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Stop the signs of aging, and promote a youthful-looking appearance with anti-aging injections. Our aesthetician nurses expertly administer small, gentle injections of a naturally sourced muscle-relaxant to wrinkle-prone areas such as the forehead, eye area, mouth, and chin. By relaxing the dermal-layer muscles beneath the skin, the skin appears smoother with a noticeable reduction in fine lines and wrinkles that lasts months.

As one of our most affordable cosmetic injectables, Anti-Wrinkle Injections can be an extremely beneficial treatment for jaw tension, tension headaches, and excessive perspiration.

The anti-aging properties of the botulinum toxin (sold under different brand names) help to relax muscles, preventing the skin from creasing and causing lines and wrinkles. Mostly these are effective for "expression lines", such as frown and surprise lines on the forehead, and crow's feet around the eyes, and puckering of the chin. The effects of antiwrinkle injections typically last three to four months, but they can last longer with ongoing treatment. These injections can also be used to relieve some muscle pain such as jaw (masseter) tension and tension headaches, as well as assisting in excessive perspiration.

Prices begin from $5 per unit. Total cost depends on how many units are used within treatment.

Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers are small injections of gel, typically made up of hyaluronic acid, that fill in wrinkles and adds volume to soft tissue. Dermal fillers can be used in different parts of your face: around the eye, cheeks, mouth, and jawline, as well as lip fillers administered directly into the lip tissue, to enhance and contour the shape of the face. As we get older our bodies stop producing collagen and elastin, both of which contribute to the youthful look. Filler treatments essentially restore lost volume to your face and plump areas, so that deep-set lines are smoothed. The treatment allows us to enhance your facial features, with minimal downtime and pain. Most dermal fillers will last between six and 18 months, depending on the individual.

Lip Filler

Add beautiful volume and shape to your lips and reduce upper-lip wrinkles with Dermal Fillers. Hyaluronic acid, and other Dermal Filler products, can be administered by our specialist nurses to provide the most effective and attractive aesthetic results for you. Your lips will look fuller, more symmetrical, and give you a more youthful appearance with long-lasting results.

Many of our clients combine Lip Fillers with other services in a customised treatment plan, talk to us about the best plan for you in your free initial consultation, or click through to read more about Lip Fillers.

Cheek Dermal Fillers

Sculpt high, full cheek apples with Cheek Dermal Fillers. Defined cheekbones are considered to be one of the most beautiful facial features. Naturally occurring collagen and elastin under the skin give the cheeks a naturally firm and full appearance, both of which contribute to a youthful look. However, as we get older, our bodies ability to produce collagen and elastin declines, which results in volume loss in the cheek area. Restore your youthful cheeks and define your cheekbones with long-lasting Dermal Filler injections.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do before having Cosmetic Injectables?

On The Day:

Come to your appointment with a clean, fresh face free of dirt, makeup and moisturisers. If you’re arriving straight from work, you’ll be able to cleanse your face at our facility before your appointment.

Depending on the area to be treated and your pain tolerance, we may apply a topical numbing cream or ice to the treatment area to reduce any discomfort you might experience during the injections.

Before administering the injection, your practitioner may clean your skin with some antiseptic and rubbing alcohol.

Leading Up To Your Appointment:

A week before your appointment, we recommend that you stop taking non-prescription medications that may thin your blood as these could increase localised bruising. Those to avoid include pain-relief medications and many herbal and vitamin supplements.

If you’re taking any prescription medications, discuss these with your GP and practitioner before having Ant-Wrinkle injections.

Additionally, it’s best not to consume alcohol within 24 hours and minimise intake for up to three days.

Anti-Wrinkle FAQ's

What’s The Cost Of Anti-Wrinkle Injections?

The face is full of muscles that vary in size and depth. Our premium Anti-Wrinkle Injections cost from $5 to $15 per unit, and a single area may need multiple injections to get the desired results.

Are Anti-Wrinkle Injections Painful?

Anti-Wrinkle Injection needles are tiny, so pain is usually minimal. If you’re concerned about pain, talk to us about using a topical anesthetic cream or cold pack to numb the skin first.

How Often Will I Need Treatments?

Most Anti-Wrinkle Injections last around 3 - 4 months, with follow-up treatments recommended at this frequency for the best results. You’re welcome to come back for a follow-up assessment 1 - 2 weeks after your treatment.

Who Will Administer My Treatments?

All of our Cosmetic Injectables, including Anti-Wrinkle injections, are administered by a highly trained registered nurse.

Are There Any Potential Side Effects?

Most people experience either no side effects or minimal side effects with a swift recovery. However, the risks increase when injections are done by poorly trained or inexperienced practitioners, so it’s essential to have your treatments done at a reputable Medispa like Kailo.

Some side effects may include:

●     Minor bruising in the injection area for a small minority.

●     Small bumps where the needles penetrated the skin that subside very quickly.

●     Some people experience minor headaches and neck pain during the first day that can be treated with over-the-counter pain medication.

As with any kind of treatment, a minimal number of people may have allergic reactions. If you experience itching, wheezing, asthma, rash, welts or dizziness, seek medical attention immediately, then check back in with our clinic as soon as practical.

If you have any questions or concerns about side effects, talk to us, we’re here to help.

Do Anti-Wrinkle Injections Work In Other Areas?

Anti-Wrinkle Injections usually contain the botulinum toxin, which is used for some medical applications. These include relieving some painful muscular tension and tension headaches as well as assisting in reducing excessive perspiration. We’re happy to work with your GP to find beneficial ways to treat medical concerns.
