Feeling Stressed? Your Daily Habits and Nutrition Can Help

 by Kim Newing

Stress. It’s the uninvited guest that shows up far too often.

You might recognise it as: heart racing, breath shallow, brain foggy, mood frayed. And in today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to think stress is just part of being human.

But what if we told you it’s not just the big stuff causing your overwhelm?

It’s the little things, the rushed mornings, skipped meals, mindless scrolling, and constant pressure to do more, faster, better. These daily habits quietly push your body into fight-or-flight mode, until feeling wired and tired becomes your new normal.

The good news? You can un-train stress.
You can come back to centre - gently, daily, moment by moment.

Let’s look at how your everyday habits and nutrition can become a soothing balm for your nervous system.

Slow your mornings

If you start your day by leaping out of bed, checking emails before your feet touch the floor, and inhaling coffee on an empty stomach - your nervous system is already in overdrive.

Try this:
Wake up 10 minutes earlier to not rush. Stretch. Breathe. Sip something warm. Light a candle. Play music. Even just sitting in stillness with your Feel Well elixir can shift your physiology into rest-and-digest mode, where healing, focus and calm live.

Eat mindfully, not on the run

Rushing while eating, standing at the kitchen bench, snacking at your laptop, driving with one hand and chewing with the other — sends stress signals to your body. It’s hard to digest food, let alone absorb nutrients, when your body thinks it’s in danger.

Try this:
Sit down. Take a breath. Look at your food. Smell it. Chew slowly. Taste it. Let your meals be moments of nourishment, not speed bumps.

Build nervous system rituals into your day

Our bodies need rhythm. They crave grounding. When you pause on purpose, even for a minute, you send a powerful message to your whole system: you are safe.

Try this:
A mid-morning walk in the sun. Hands on your heart between meetings. One full-body exhale before replying to that message. These micro-moments add up. They rewire stress.

Support your body with calming nutrients

Magnesium, adaptogens, B-vitamins, and gut-supporting nutrients all play a vital role in how your body handles stress. And when you're depleted (hello, modern life), your resilience dips even lower.

Try this:
Let Feel Well be your daily ally. It's formulated to nourish your gut-brain axis and gently support your nervous system - a ritual that helps you feel grounded, energised, and clear from the inside out.

As the saying goes,  “You can't pour from an empty cup.” But what if the cup didn’t need to be full - just steady, loved, and held with care?

Stress may be part of life, but how you respond to it… that’s where your power lives.  Start with softness. Invite in slowness. Nourish your body like you would a beloved child.

And watch how your whole world starts to exhale with you.
